A Gumax® glass sliding door is available from 1 to 6 sliding doors with a width of 98 cm per glass panel. Made of 10mm thick tempered glass, these clear glass panels are transparent across the entire panel with a Gumax logo at the bottom. The sliding doors are supplied as a complete set including aluminium overhead rail, bottom rails with integrated water drain and aluminium glass profiles with double-bearing wheels. The glass sliding doors do not have an interlocking system. This means you can slide each glass panel individually.
Gumax® Excellence Superior Coating
Since there is a lot of variety in the quality of coatings used on the veranda market, we want to stress the importance of their quality. Over time, you will definitely see the difference between the coatings. If you opt for Gumax® Excellence, you get a coating that retains its colour and gloss excellently. An excellent matt coating from a global leader in powder coatings that gives you peace of mind. The coating provides:
- Superior gloss and colour retention
- From AkzoNobel - Interpon, global leader in powder coatings

For the profiles of Gumax glass sliding doors, you can choose between the colours matt anthracite (RAL 7016), matt white (RAL 9016) and matt black (RAL 9005). The colours give your veranda a luxurious look and are equal in price and applicability. In most cases, the profile colours are chosen to match the colour of the veranda.

Width
The widths of the rail systems range from 1960mm to a maximum of 5880mm and can be shortened to the desired width. The systems are available from a 1-rail to a 6-rail system. The number of rails equals the amount of glass panels per system. The rail systems have the following widths:
2 rail with a length of 1960mm
3 rail with a length of 2940mm
4 rail with a length of 3920mm
5 rail with a length of 4900mm
6 rail with a length of 5880mm
Click on ‘measuring instructions' for more information on the overlap between the glass panels.
Height
Gumax® glass sliding doors are available in heights ranging from 1980mm to 2720mm. On the website, you can easily order your glass sliding door according to the measured clearance height. So this is the only dimension you have to take into account. In addition to the glass panels, the system includes a bottom rail, top guide and the glass profile. Check the measuring instructions to order the right clearance height.
Depth
The depth of the profiles depends on the number of glass sliding doors. You will find the exact depth measurements for each rail system in the measuring instructions.
Note: Do you have a Gumax® veranda of 6.06 metres wide and want a 6-rail system at the front? In this case, it is necessary to mount U profiles. These profiles are required because the glass sliding doors will otherwise not connect to the support structures and may slide in front of them.
Do you have a veranda with a depth of 3 or 4 metres and want to install glass sliding doors in it? There are then a number of things to consider.
Gumax® glass sliding doors require a strong foundation that is level and can support up to 390kg per linear metre. Is there no foundation in place yet? Then you have the following options:
- Mount the glass sliding doors on the aluminium foundation column. Tuinmaximaal recommends this option to prevent sagging of the glass sliding doors;
- Place the glass sliding doors on your terrace or constructed foundation if it is level and strong enough to support 390KG per linear metre.
